The snowshoe was born, it is said, more than 10,000 years ago. An ingenious tool for movement and hunting. A whole instinctive science to effectively distribute the weight of the body on an uneven snowpack. At that time, it consisted of a wooden frame connected by leather straps.

It was not until 1981 and the creation of TSL in the heart of the Alps in Thônes (France) to see the first revolution of the product. TSL is inspired by a wooden snowshoe to make it in plastic material. This is how the JCB, the first model intended for leisure and sporting practice, was born.

In the 1990s, TSL developed and marketed the 225 RANDO to the general public, the first articulated binding snowshoe providing comfort, technicality, design and good foot support. Its unique wasp-waisted shape provides walking comfort and becomes the recognizable imprint on all the brand's composite snowshoes. Its success was immediate and is to date the best-selling model in the world.

2021, TSL celebrates its 40th anniversary. They are writing a new page while pursuing its state of mind, its common thread, its difference, namely… charting its own path.
