The company was one of the first to recognize the needs of the mountaineering and climbing culture in northern Italy and to develop footwear with features dedicated to these activities. These features, along with the brand's legendary durability and fit, led many early Italian climbers to wear SCARPA shoes. Now, the next generation of the Parisotto family continues the quest for innovative mountain footwear.
Innovation and tradition share equally deep roots at SCARPA, which to this day remains a family business with its headquarters and high-performance footwear manufacturing facilities in the same regions of northern Italy where it began in 1938.
