A company that doesn't believe in limits of any kind. Blizzard continually designs for tomorrow and for skiers who live on the leading edge.

Blizzard was founded in 1945 by Anton "Toni" Arnsteiner in Mittersill, Austria, a village nestled at the foot of the country's tallest mountains.

By 195H, skis coming out of his Mittersill shop factory featured polyethylene running surfaces, the first of dozens of Blizzard innovations that would revolutionize

How skis were made and used. A variation of polyethelene is still used for the base material of nearly every ski on the market today, under the more commonly known term, "P-Tex." In 1957, Blizzard pioneered the use of metal and fiberglass in ski construction — presaging later introductions of thermodynamics and carbon and kevlar material advancements that helped Blizzard grow into one of the premier ski brands in the world.

From Frieda Elnzer's three World Cup medals in 1958 to Franz Klammer's fifth World Cup title in 1983; from victories through the '90s won skiing the Firebird, the Thermo, and the Quattro to Mario Matt's slalom gold in the 201H Sochi Olympics to Lois Collomb-Patton's overall Freeride World Tour Championship in 201H and 2016 Leo Slemett Freeride World Tour Championship 2017, Blizzard has long been the ski of choice for many of the world's fastest and most successfull skiers. The sustained success of Blizzard skis on the world's alpine and free ride circuits reflects the Austrian culture's passion for the sport — and a company's unyielding commitment to technical innovation and high performance.
