The compact avalanche transceiver will convince even the most reluctant with its intuitive operation, its range of 70 m and its features that guide the search for victims with maximum efficiency and assistance – even in complicated rescue scenarios. To increase your safety when hiking, the Barryvox S2 continuously checks its correct functioning with a self-test. For greater safety during the rescue, the transceiver is equipped with a Rescue-SEND function and automatic transmission switching. During the search for buried persons, it guides you to your objective with instructions on the easy-to-read animated display. Thanks to all its functions, you can rely on its instructions right down to the last few meters. In addition, with the support of the Mammut app, you can carry out avalanche updates, configurations and training to be ready to make good decisions in an emergency.
Features
Intelligent fine search guidance system: Patented technology accompanies you throughout the fine search with comprehensive interactive visual and acoustic guidance.
Probe indications: As soon as the minimum burial depth has been found, the probe display guides you visually and audibly from the fine search phase to the burial point search phase.
MIP display: The innovative high-contrast Memory in Pixel display is clear and easy to read, even in direct sunlight.
Voice guidance: The Barryvox® supports you with additional instructions in all phases of the search. Currently unavailable in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the USA.
SEND-Rescue: Protection function for rescuers who are not involved in the search. In the event of a second avalanche that would bury a rescuer, the SEND mode is automatically triggered and signals the burial position
Automatic switch from search mode to transmit mode: safety feature for rescuers searching with an avalanche victim detector in the event of a second burial. If a rescuer does not move for four minutes, the avalanche victim detector automatically switches from SEARCH mode to SEND mode using a motion detector.
Automatic self-test: your Barryvox® checks the signal of your send and search function when it is turned on, and performs regular transmission and battery tests.
Interference mitigation: the Barryvox® manages and reduces any signal interference, and indicates if interference is detected on the send and search modes.
Group check: this function allows you to quickly and easily check the frequency and transmit power of other avalanche victim detectors to ensure they are operating properly.
Acoustic guidance in the search: a sequence of tones guides you in the direction of the buried person and allows you to keep your eyes on the avalanche field during the search.
Intuitive visual interface: intuitively guides you through all search phases and displays an overview of multiple burials.
Auto-Select function: in the event of multiple burials, the Barryvox® will first guide you to the strongest signal.
Marking function for multiple burials
The direction reversal function prevents 180-degree search errors
Deep burial mode: If a very deep burial is detected, the fine search is automatically started earlier (> 3 m) for precise guidance.
Compatible with the Barryvox app for firmware updates, configuration settings, search training with the Barryvox®
Barryvox carrying system (included in delivery): Comfortable and secure wearing of the avalanche victim detector on the upper body
Additional functions for advanced users: Discover all the possibilities of the Barryvox® S2 with the alternative search mode and individually configurable parameters, ensuring unparalleled flexibility and control in all search scenarios.
Analogue search technology: The extended analogue function for more efficient and precise searches facilitates complex searches thanks to complex algorithms and signal processing techniques.
Pro Check: In this mode, the transmission frequency, pulse duration and phase durations of other avalanche victim detectors are checked.
Pro-Search setting: combines a digital direction and distance display with an analogue tone in standard search mode, allowing access to the alternative search mode.
Configurable settings for acoustic guidance, visual guidance, Pro Test, vital information detection and rescue dispatch delay, as well as automatic switching from search to transmission mode.
Multiple burial scroll function: provides a clear overview of up to 16 buried persons, for more efficient group searches and decision-making.
Multiple burial selection function: in the case of multiple burials, burials can be selected, marked and unmarked on a list.
Marking of buried persons at depth up to 6 m
Additional Bluetooth channel: allows faster separation of signals in complex rescue situations.
Bluetooth Vital Information Detection: Vital information transmitted via Bluetooth helps rescuers make decisions and focus on buried people who have a better chance of survival.
