The Nº 09 is solid thanks to its 8 cm blade. The stainless steel blade has a thread cutter (diameter 5 mm maximum) and a peeler (diameter 8 mm maximum). The handle has two magnetically attached screwdriver connectors at the heel (flat/cruciform screwdriver).

Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel fine-tuned by Opinel is renowned for its cut and ease of use. Stainless steel is capable of undergoing the heat treatment that gives it its great durability and is called martensitic. It has a large amount of carbon, at least 0.40%, which allows a very satisfactory cut without being sensitive to corrosion. Blade hardness 57-58 HRC

The handle is made of fiberglass-filled polyamide that guarantees excellent resistance to shocks and water. Includes two standard tips: flat screwdriver (4 mm screws) and Phillips driver (3.5 to 5 mm screws), as well as a magnetic tip holder at the end of the handle.

• Security ring

Invented by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring is on all folding knives starting with No. 06. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc is made up of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the sash in the open position (use safety), it is now possible to close the sash in the closed position (safe transport).
