The Nº08 is very versatile: it has a very resistant 2.5 mm thick blade and a 3.5 cm serrated area. It offers high performance to cut without ripping natural or synthetic ropes. The handle is resistant to water, impacts and extreme temperatures. It has a whistle that offers a range of 300 m, effective even in bad weather. It has a shackler for shackles from 4 to 10 mm.

Martensitic stainless steel with high hardness due to the addition of nitrogen (0.15%) and superior corrosion resistance due to a high chromium content (16%).

• Knife handle
  

The handle is injected with fiberglass-filled polyamide that guarantees great resistance to shocks, water and extreme temperatures (-40ºC to +80ºC). Whistle without ball integrated in the handle (works in all weather conditions) with a power of 110 dB and a range of about 300 meters in open space.

• Security ring

Invented by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring is on all folding knives starting with No. 06. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc is made up of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the sash in the open position (use safety), it is now possible to close the sash in the closed position (safe transport).
