LA SPORTIVA
La Sportiva is a renowned Italian brand, a world leader in technical footwear and apparel for mountain sports such as climbing (climbing shoes), trail running, hiking, and mountaineering, known for its innovation, quality, and performance. It was founded in 1928 when Narciso Dellaido handcrafted leather and wooden boots for lumberjacks and farmers in the Fassa and Fiemme valleys (Dolomites, Italy). After the war, the demand for boots increased, forcing Narciso to hire more workers: the good name of "Calzoleria Sportiva" spread beyond the valleys. From there, La Sportiva's story continued to grow. Now, the company produces boots and shoes for all kinds of outdoor activities in the Velle di Fiemme, from climbing and mountaineering, categories in which La Sportiva is the market leader, to the trail running, trekking, and ski mountaineering markets. Recently, the company entered the ski mountaineering segment and the clothing market with a full selection of technical clothing for running, ski mountaineering and climbing.
