Editorial Alpina

Editorial Alpina is a Spanish publisher based in Granollers. It is specialized in cartography and mountain guides, mostly works in pocket format, of direct utility and dissemination.

It mainly publishes maps, guides, and manuals. Over time, the editorial collection expanded with literary works such as the "Marcòlic Collection" or children's literature with the "Flor de Neu" stamp, always with a mountaineering or hiking theme. It has also integrated new digital technologies since 1996, both for the drafting and for the use of maps in electronic format.

The editorial moves between the world of new technologies, with the commercialization of state-of-the-art digital products, the completely digital production of its maps and the use of instruments such as GPS in capturing territorial information, as well as artisan work and detailed research manual involving field review. It is, therefore, a synthesis between the technological world and the human world, between tradition and innovation. Collaboration with local people remains essential to recover and preserve a toponymic heritage that over the years would have been forgotten.
