- Custom Shell™ HD - Custom Shell™ HD technology lets bootfitters heat-mold the lower shell, or the shell and cuff together, in around 10 minutes. Thinner-wall construction and new shell materials bring the foot closer to the shell, improving sensitivity and power transmission to the ski. The result is a tailored fit that reduces pressure points without sacrificing stiffness or control.
- BOA® Fit System with Exobelt - The BOA® Fit System, integrated into the lower shell, replaces traditional buckles with a rotating dial, cable and guides that distribute tension evenly across the instep. Combined with the Exobelt, a strong textile-plastic fastener, it delivers exceptional heel hold and prevents blisters during ascents, without losing precision or power on the descent. It's the key to the micro-adjustable fit that defines this hybrid range.
- Twinlock with FreeSpine and PowerWedge - The Twinlock mechanism reworks the ski/walk mode to offer a wide range of motion on the way up and progressive alpine flex on the way down, with a horizontal closing position that prioritizes safety. The FreeSpine bar connects the cuff to the lower shell to add a layer of reliable alpine progressivity to freeride comfort, and the PowerWedge, built into the FreeSpine, boosts range of motion when unlocked and power transmission when locked. It's the technical core that lets this boot behave like an alpine boot on the descent and a touring boot on the ascent.
- My Custom Fit™ Freeride 4D Sport - This liner features a fully removable, customizable Custom Tongue that lets you add or remove foam to adjust instep height by +/-8 mm. Its design is built to follow the cuff's movement in walk mode without losing hold on the descent. It's a solution that balances walking comfort with alpine precision.
- GripWalk ISO 23223 with Midgrip - The GripWalk sole, certified under the ISO 23223 standard, comes premounted from the factory and features a specific profile that noticeably improves grip and walking comfort on icy or uneven surfaces. The Contagrip® Midgrip insert, placed between the toe and heel, reinforces grip on difficult terrain such as rocky summits or ice. Together they offer a sole solution built specifically for this boot's mixed use.
- Integrated tech inserts - These low-friction inserts are built directly into the shell, making the boot compatible with pin-style touring bindings. They offer reliability and direct power transmission during the skin-track ascent. It's the feature that allows combining resort use with touring outings without needing a second boot.
