The La Sportiva Aequilibrium ST Woman GTX is the women's version of this ultra-lightweight technical mountaineering boot, designed for alpinists who want speed and performance on demanding terrain without compromising comfort. Featuring a high-tenacity Nylon 60.6 upper with HoneyComb Guard™ and a 100% waterproof GORE-TEX Performance Comfort membrane, it delivers the same technical capability as the men's version in an Aequilibrium last shaped for the female foot, at a significantly reduced weight.
Walkability and downhill control
The Double Heel™ construction is the defining feature of the Aequilibrium family: its pronounced dual rear lug geometry increases braking effect on descents and promotes a smoother foot roll, reducing muscle fatigue over long days. The 3D Flex System Evo™ provides a directional ankle articulation that allows freedom of movement and precise control on uneven terrain, while the integrated snow gaiter in the upper prevents snow and debris from entering the boot.
Rubber Guard™ construction and crampon compatibility
The midsole incorporates the Rubber Guard™ structure with high-cushion internal PU foam inserts, a combination that reduces rubber layers while maintaining ground contact and reducing overall weight. The TPU insert at the heel ensures compatibility with non-automatic and semi-automatic crampons, making this boot a versatile option for seasonal mountaineering and demanding technical via ferrata.
Vibram SpringLug Tech outsole and precision fit
The Vibram® SpringLug Tech outsole with Impact Brake System™ delivers exceptional traction on rock, ice, and varied terrain thanks to the inclined and opposing lug arrangement. A lacing system with upper hook and lower cinch allows progressive, precise volume adjustment, while TPU toe and heel caps and a lateral TPU mudguard add an extra layer of protection on the most exposed areas.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- GORE-TEX Performance Comfort: High-performance waterproof and breathable membrane made from ePE (expanded polyethylene). Designed for mountain activities in changeable weather, it delivers an optimal balance between moisture protection and active breathability during sustained effort.
- Double Heel™: A heel construction system patented by La Sportiva. The very pronounced dual rear lug geometry increases braking effect on descents and allows a smoother foot roll, reducing muscular load on technical downhill sections.
- 3D Flex System Evo™: Multi-directional ankle articulation combining support and mobility. It allows the foot to perform the movements required on technical terrain while maintaining stance control and protecting the ankle from abrasion via the outer TPU layer.
- Rubber Guard™: A midsole construction system that partially replaces conventional rubber layers with a lateral rubber shell and internal PU foam inserts. The result is greater cushioning at a lower overall weight compared to traditional constructions.
- Impact Brake System™: A lug design system developed by La Sportiva in collaboration with Vibram®. The inclined and opposing lug arrangement maximises ground contact points, absorbing impact forces and improving traction on ascents while enhancing braking control on descents.
- Vibram® SpringLug Tech: Vibram® rubber outsole with SpringLug Tech profile developed for mountaineering and technical terrain. It provides high adhesion on rock and icy surfaces, with deep lugs maintaining grip in snow and mud conditions.
- HoneyComb Guard™: High-tenacity technical fabric with a honeycomb structure and anti-abrasion TPU reinforcements. It combines lightness and mechanical resistance in the most exposed areas of the upper without adding unnecessary weight to the boot.
