The La Sportiva Aequilibrium Top GTX is the flagship boot of the Aequilibrium family, built for fast, technical mountaineering on mixed terrain at medium altitude. Featuring state-of-the-art technology, it combines extreme lightness, comfort, and durability in a construction that integrates a 100% waterproof GORE-TEX Performance Comfort membrane with an external Cordura gaiter that fully seals out snow and water.
BOA® Fit System adjustment
Unlike the rest of the Aequilibrium family, the Top GTX features a differentiated closure system: a quick-adjust strap at the top of the shaft combined with the BOA® Fit System integrated into the lower gaiter. This system delivers micro-adjustable, precise tightening even with gloves on, offering instant tension changes that are especially useful during technical movement on rock, ice, and snow.
Walkability with Double Heel™ and Rubber Guard™
The Double Heel™ construction increases braking effect on descents and promotes a smoother foot roll, reducing muscle fatigue over long days of movement. The outsole and midsole combine the Rubber Guard™ structure with a more cushioned internal foam, reducing the number of rubber layers required and significantly lightening the overall build without compromising durability. The midsole is also compatible with semi-automatic crampons, extending the boot's range of use to ice and hard snow.
Ankle mobility and technical protection
The 3D Flex System Evo™ features a preformed directional articulation in the shaft with external fold lines that allow optimal support control and near-natural ankle mobility. Ergonomic TPU reinforcements at the toe and heel protect the most exposed areas, while the stretch HoneyComb Guard™ fabric delivers lightness without sacrificing abrasion resistance.
