The Sea to Summit Alto semi-freestanding tent offers superior lightness and comfort, even in colder conditions.
The Alto Plus version, unlike the standard model which has a mesh interior, incorporates zippered vents. This internal change reduces the amount of cold air penetrating the tent, making the Alto Plus suitable for 3+ seasons.
Thanks to its innovative design, the interior of the Alto tent provides a feeling of spaciousness, as its walls don't close in on you. It also features two large vestibules that protect from the elements and provide extra storage space for your gear.
The tent offers five different configurations to suit your needs: dry, rainfly only, inner tent only, partial rainfly, and classic.
It features an innovative adjustable ventilation system: The top vent efficiently expels warm air to prevent condensation buildup. Along with the base vent, both vents work together to maintain good air quality at all times. Additionally, the adjustable, double-layered ventilation openings in the roof and doors allow for airflow without compromising the tent's insect protection system.
Its meticulous design is evident in every detail. For example, the FairShare packing system makes it easy to distribute the tent's weight evenly among friends or inside a backpack, as well as in the pole storage bag, which can be used as a light bar that attaches to the tent's roof.
FEATURES
- The Tension Ridge poles are angled upwards like the dihedral wing of an airplane, not downwards as is common in tents. This elevates the tent's shape, providing significantly more headroom and shoulder room, higher doors, easier access, and more usable vestibule space.
- Typical of Sea to Summit's commitment to refining details for more functional and frictionless gear, these machined aluminum clips make rainfly installation (whether with the inner tent or a base in ultralight configuration) quick and easy. They're also far more durable than plastic buckles.
- Each Sea to Summit tent packs into three stuff sacks to allow you to easily divide the load. During setup, two stuff sacks transform into gear pockets, while the pole stuff sack (with a translucent diffuser) becomes a light bar. Add one or two spotlights for soft, ambient lighting throughout the tent.
- Mounted at the highest point, Apex Vents allow warm, humid air to escape and channel fresh air into the tent. The vents can be easily zipped shut from inside the tent and don't require mesh to maintain their shape, significantly improving airflow. Baseline Vent allows you to control humidity in wet conditions by opening or closing the bottom of the door while maintaining vestibule functionality and rain protection for your equipment.
