The ultralight Atomic Backland 86 UL, ideal for fast and light touring, utilizes All-Terrain Profile to deliver the lightest performance of any Atomic ski in the 86mm waist category. The result of intensive testing and research, the redesigned core construction uses a unique wood-to-fiberglass ratio for lighter, more efficient uphill performance and stronger downhill performance. Constructed with an ultralight poplar and caruba wood core, the ski features an ultralight carbon insert running the length of the ski to act as a stabilizing backbone, achieving the perfect balance between low weight and optimal power. Perfect for powder, on-piste, and everything in between, the lightweight HRZN 3D tip uses a thin, perforated material to increase surface area and improve float in deeper snow conditions, creating a ski with a low swing weight. All Mountain Rocker technology provides early tip lift for a ski profile suitable for both on-piste and off-piste skiing. A notched tip allows compatibility with Atomic PreFit skins.
