G-SUMMIT

The La Sportiva G-Summit is the new benchmark for high altitude technical mountaineering, developed to satisfy two needs: to be an extremely warm single boot for high altitude mountaineering, or a lightweight and precise double boot for extended expeditions in highly challenging climates. With its unique removable liner and thermal insole, the G-Summit is a fully customisable product based on the terrain requirements and conditions of intended use.

Core-Wrap™ technology and BOA® fit
The inner shell is made with the patented Core-Wrap™ technology, an overlapping construction with thermally insulating materials and structural reinforcements that maximises warmth while remaining ultralight. The BOA® Fit System, positioned on the outside of the gaiter, allows quick, micro-adjustable tightening designed specifically to be opened and closed while wearing gloves in cold conditions, complemented by a Power Strap at the top for added support.

Ice-Tech™ outsole and full crampon compatibility
The 2mm polyurethane midsole features differentiated thickness at the toe and heel specifically designed for secure crampon attachment, whether non-automatic, semi-automatic, or automatic. The Vibram® outsole with Ice-Tech™ tread, divided into two sections, maximises performance during both technical ice climbing and walking on mixed terrain, with a Dura Step compound that excels in low temperatures and on wet terrain.

Customisation and sustainability
The removable 5mm thermal insole in insulating material, combined with the Carbon Z-Therm™ insole, delivers maximum adaptability to different foot shapes without sacrificing precision during climbing. The footwear can be fully resoled (toe and heel) or only at the front, reducing environmental impact and significantly extending the boot's usable life.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

• Core-Wrap™: A patented inner shell construction technology using overlapping layers of thermally insulating, structurally reinforced materials. It maximises the boot's warmth while keeping weight down — a key factor in high-altitude performance.
• Convertible single/double system: The G-Summit can be used as an ultralight, warm single boot for altitude mountaineering, or transformed into a double boot by adding the specific removable liner, offering greater thermal insulation on long expeditions in extreme climates.
• BOA® Fit System: A rotating micro-dial closure system positioned on the outside of the gaiter. It allows precise, progressive tightening, specifically designed to be operated while wearing gloves in extreme cold.
• Vibram® Ice-Tech™: An outsole divided into two distinct sections, optimising performance both for crampon progression on ice and for walking on mixed terrain. The Dura Step compound particularly excels in low temperatures and on wet surfaces.
• Carbon Z-Therm™: A carbon mounting insole with insulating properties that provides structural rigidity and additional thermal protection underfoot, essential on high-altitude ascents.
• Crampon integration: The midsole's differentiated thickness design at toe and heel is specifically optimised to maximise the grip and security of non-automatic, semi-automatic, and automatic crampons.
• Resoleable: The footwear can be fully resoled or resoled only at the front using genuine La Sportiva components, reducing environmental impact and significantly extending the boot's useful life across successive expeditions.
