TECHNICAL INFORMATION

• GORE-TEX®: Expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) membrane with approximately 1.3 million micropores per cm², each 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet but 700 times larger than a vapour molecule. This asymmetric geometry blocks liquid water through surface pressure differential while allowing perspiration vapour to escape continuously.
• Matryx®: Fabric composed of individually encapsulated high-tenacity Kevlar® yarns within a technical matrix, distributing tensile and abrasion stresses uniformly. Individual encapsulation preserves fabric flexibility without sacrificing tear resistance, achieving a strength-to-weight ratio significantly higher than conventional nylon.
• activeCHASSIS: Fully integrated support platform between the midsole and outsole that expands ground contact area by 23% versus the previous generation. Platform geometry redistributes impact loads laterally, reducing mediolateral roll tendency on uneven terrain.
• optiFOAM™: Closed-cell EVA foam with optimised high-resilience formulation: recovers 90% of its original shape after impact, maintaining cushioning properties across hundreds of kilometres of use.
• All-Terrain contaGRIP®: Rubber compound with lug geometry redesigned for the Genesis 2, 4 mm profile balancing penetration on soft surfaces with durability on hard ones. The stepped pattern alternates traction and evacuation zones to prevent mud clogging.
• endoFit™: Structural inner sleeve built directly on the last, acting as a second skin that evenly distributes lacing pressure across the instep and eliminates friction points without adding extra material layers.
• quickLACE™: High-tenacity cable with TPU coating that distributes tension evenly across all anchor points simultaneously, with a ratchet-lock system that holds adjustment stable under dynamic load.
