The X RAISE 2 MID GTX by SALOMON is a mid-cut hiking boot with a trail runner spirit, designed for day hikes, fast trekking and quick excursions over varied terrain. Its stitch-free welded construction in textile and synthetic materials brings the weight down to just 385 g per shoe, while the waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane keeps the foot dry against rain and water crossings. The ADV-C Chassis™ with tripod design provides lateral stability without reducing forefoot flexibility, and the Fuze Surge midsole delivers pillowy cushioning with responsive energy return.
Construction and protection
The mid cut of the X RAISE 2 MID GTX provides ankle support without the stiffness of a high-cut boot, maintaining an agile and natural feel with every step. The upper features anti-debris mesh that prevents sand and small trail particles from entering, complemented by a gusseted tongue that seals the interior. A reinforced toe cap, heel counter and lateral mudguard wrap the base of the foot without adding noticeable weight. The welded construction eliminates stitching and delivers a smooth, glove-like fit.
Grip and stability
The Contagrip® MD outsole uses SALOMON's most durable compound with a lug pattern that performs equally well on hard, smooth surfaces and soft, loose ground, including scree and uneven trails. The ADV-C Chassis™ protects the outer ankle articulations while providing reinforced stability, and its tripod design connects the foot securely to the ground. The forefoot remains soft and flexible for a fluid stride.
Cushioning and comfort
The Fuze Surge midsole, composed of one of SALOMON's softest EVA blends combined with natural materials, delivers instant pillowy cushioning and a high rebound level that holds up day after day. The maxi-foam collar and tongue wrap the ankle and instep with generous padding that improves comfort from the very first wear. The die-cut OrthoLite® sockliner adds further cushioning, breathability and a healthy environment for the foot.
