The Lange Shadow 100 MV GW is a men's alpine ski boot with a 100 flex and a 100 mm last (MV, medium volume), reinventing the traditional cuff construction through the Suspension Blade Dual Pivot system, replacing the fixed rear axis of conventional boots with two independent pivot points at the ankle and heel. The Assisted Performance System amplifies the skier's input by up to 26%, delivering more power and control with less effort.
The Dual Core shell, in polyurethane, combines plastics of different hardness through a power-injection process with 5 simultaneous entry points, directing hard plastic to the heel and lower shell and soft plastic to the areas that wrap the foot and leg. The One Piece Liner, seamless and thermoformable, features an Asymmetrical Toe Box that reduces pressure on the toes, along with highly customizable Core Custom 4 thermal insulation. Four ultra-light, cold-forged aluminum buckles, the Flex Adjust system that lets stiffness be softened by 8%, the New Snow Seal against snow and wind, and the GripWalk sole mounted as standard round out a package built to help skiers progress without losing comfort or snow feel.

- Assisted Performance System - A system that combines Dual Pivot and Suspension Blade technologies to amplify the skier's input into the boot through mechanical advantage. It increases power transmission to the ski by up to 26%, reducing the effort needed to achieve the same result. It works similarly to a bike's suspension, allowing skiers to ski longer and more efficiently.
- Dual Pivot - A design that replaces the fixed rear anchor point of traditional boots with two independent pivot points, located at the ankle and heel. This separation creates a mechanical advantage that engages the full length of the cuff, instead of concentrating flex at a single point. The result is more power and control with less effort from the skier.
- Suspension Blade - An external blade connecting the upper cuff to the lower shell of the boot, allowing both pieces to move in a coordinated way. It absorbs vibration and improves energy transmission and snow feel throughout the turn. It delivers a smoother, more progressive flex than traditional fixed-cuff constructions.
- Dual Core - A process that simultaneously injects rigid and soft plastics into targeted zones of the shell, using a "power injection" method through 5 entry points. Hard plastic is directed to the heel, spine and lower shell to retain stiffness, while soft plastic wraps the foot and lower leg. The result is greater elastic tension, delivering more response and rebound when flexing.
- One Piece Liner - An inner liner made from a single piece, with no break or seam from the lower ankle up, or between the forefoot and the cuff. It's thermoformable, so it can be molded in-store to fit the exact anatomy of each foot, eliminating transition points that often cause pressure or uncomfortable folds in multi-piece liners. The result is a clean, consistent fit that follows the foot's true shape all day.
- Asymmetrical Toe Box - A liner toe area shaped with a curve rather than a conventional straight line, specifically designed to reduce pressure on top of the toes. It conforms better to the foot's natural anatomy than a traditional symmetrical toe box. It contributes directly to the overall comfort of the One Piece Liner.
- Flex Adjust - A system that lets the boot's stiffness be modified by replacing the Suspension Blade's elastomer insert with a softer black one, softening the flex by 8% from its factory setting. It requires no complex tools or costly replacement parts. It offers a progressive level of customization as the skier's technique develops.
- New Snow Seal - A sealing system that keeps snow and wind out of the boot's interior, particularly at the junction between the shell and the cuff. It keeps the boot drier and warmer in adverse conditions. It complements the thermal performance of the One Piece Liner with Core Custom 4 insulation.
- GripWalk® - A sole with a thick rubber tread and a convex toe profile, designed to improve traction and natural foot roll while walking off the skis. It includes integrated stiff pads that guarantee optimal power transmission and correct Alpine release function. It's mounted as standard on this model.
