• SOLE:

The TIBET GTX has a CLIMBING ZONE. This is a flat component in the front sole area that facil­itates easy climbs.

The high-performance sole VIBRAM MASAI is optimally designed for use on alpine terrain. The “climbing zone” on the sole tip enables wearers to move precisely as they manoeuvre their way up sheer rock faces. The stud arrangement ensures that any dirt that accu­mulates in the sole of the footwear will be shaken loose while the boot wearer is walking. The distinctive heel provides walking comfort partic­ularly during descents.

• MIDSOLE

100% Poly­urethane (PU)

Poly­urethane (PU) is a soft plastic that has very good cush­ioning prop­erties and is usually used in the midsole as a result. Through the use of PU, the soles become light­weight and func­tionally flexible.

• INSOLE

Approx. 40% Polyester

Polyester is synthetic plastic fibre made from crude oil. In chemical terms, it is a polymer that can be processed into many different materials. Thanks to its chemical flex­ibility, polyester is light­weight, dries quickly, does not shrink and has the highest levels of tear and abrasion resistance.

Approx. 10% Mesh

Mesh is a material that consists of many evenly spaced holes. It is usually made of polyester or nylon and basically a lattice-like material that is created by interwoven threads. Thanks to its special design, the man-made fibre is partic­ularly permeable to air, has special moisture-regu­lating qualities and is easy to care for, breathable and crease-resistant.

Approx. 50% Viscoelastic latex foam

Viscoelastic latex foam is made of a remarkable polymer that lends a special form memory to the foam. Once body heat or pressure is applied to the viscoelastic foam, the foam adapts exactly to these particular contours. This feature equally distributes pressure and eases stress on the feet.

• UPPER MATERIAL

100% Nubuck leather

Nubuck leather is a full-grain leather that is slightly sanded, a process that lends a velvety look to the leather. Nubuck leather is espe­cially durable, robust and open-pored. Depending on the desired look, nubuck leather can remain untreated or be oiled or waxed.

• LINING MATERIAL

Guar­anteed weather protection, even in pouring rain and heavy snow: The TIBET GTX is equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane. The innovative tech­nology delivers optimal waterproof protection and breath­ability.
