The ATK Timepacer 12 opens a new category within ATK's lineup: "fitness touring," built for skimo racers and athletes who want to stay in shape through winter without giving up a serious binding. At 250 g per ski including brake, it combines the light DNA of race bindings with performance built for real downhill enjoyment — something the most minimalist race bindings usually sacrifice. Its new Speed Toe, with a hybrid drilling pattern (narrow front, wide rear) and Snowpack Proof System preventing snow and ice build-up under the locking mechanism, guarantees reliable engagement even on days with constant transitions and very low temperatures.
The Timepacer 12's biggest differentiator is its Race Brake System, inspired by competition bindings: it activates automatically as you move the heel riser between climb and ski mode, and locks with no extra steps when switching back to climbing — the first binding this light with a brake also built for resort use. Its new "T"-shaped heel plate improves power transmission and offers up to 30mm of adjustment to fit different boots, while its three riser positions (flat, +27mm and +44mm) cover any slope. With adjustable DIN 6-12 lateral release and a build of aluminum, stainless steel and POM, the Timepacer 12 is the binding for anyone who trains seriously but doesn't want to give up fun on every descent.
