The VOLATA MIPS by Sweet Protection represents the latest in FIS approved race helmets, suitable for all disciplines. This model is prepared to fit our Slalom Chin Guard that can be safely mounted and unmounted in a matter of seconds without any tools required, sold separately.
This helmet uses a variable elasticity thermoplastic shell combined with our advanced impact absorption technology, the Impact Shields, which distribute impacts from the inside over a larger area in crucial zones. In addition, it features front and rear in-molded Gate Shields to protect the helmet from gate impacts. For the Volata, we especially developed a unique 3-Layer MIPS system designed to reduce rotational forces on the brain. It also features emergency removable ear pads and two-piece ear ports for excellent hearing.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- 3L-MIPS system - a special MIPS solution developed together with MIPS engineers for optimized functionality with the Volata platform. It has two black in-molded static MIPS layers at the front and back, and one yellow MIPS layer in the center suspended by two thin multi-directional pockets that enable movement in all directions.
- Impact Shields - our premium impact protection technology distributes force from the inside over a larger area in crucial head zones.
- Gate Shields - molded in EPP with polycarbonate at the front and rear of the helmet, protecting against gate strikes, which tend to bend forward after an impact and hit the back as well.
- Variable elasticity thermoplastic shell - injection-molded with a rubber-toughened construction, offering high impact resistance with the best performance-to-weight ratio.
- Two-piece ear ports - ensure excellent hearing during competition and can be quickly removed in an emergency.
