Shipping costs

All orders will be shipped to the address indicated by the buyer. The order will be processed once payment has been made and payment confirmed. Shipments will be made daily, except on non-working days.

The order will be received at its destination under the following terms:

Spain and Portugal:

For shipments within the Peninsula, the order will be delivered by a courier company (SEUR or MRW) within 48-72 hours after payment confirmation from the bank (always considering working days and excluding local or national holidays in both the sending and receiving countries).

Shipping costs are automatically calculated through the website based on the destination country and will be detailed during the order process.

Shipping within the Iberian Peninsula will be free for orders over €50.

Martensitic Stainless Steel

Hardness 55-57 HRC. European Origin.

The stainless steel used in OPINEL rackets is an optimized grade to guarantee both high corrosion resistance and high mechanical performance.

The blade has an excellent edge and high abrasion resistance, allowing it to withstand regular contact with hard materials, such as ceramics, before needing to be resharpened. Stainless steel has the advantage of requiring no maintenance under normal use, unlike carbon steel. However, it can reach its limits when exposed to harsh environments for extended periods (acids, salt water, detergents, etc.).

Yataghan Blade

Opinel's traditional blade is the Yataghan. Its shape is inspired by a Turkish saber, with an upturned tip. The blade is shaped with a unique domed profile that ensures its strength and allows for efficient sharpening.

Handle

The PEFC-certified hornbeam comes from sustainably managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions. It is a white wood with a subtle grain, ideal for applying colors without altering its natural appearance. The varnished handle is protected from stains and moisture.

Safety Ring

Invented by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring is featured on all folding knives from size No. 6 and up. Made of stainless steel, the Virobloc consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety during use), it also allows the blade to be locked in the closed position (safe transport).
