The Wildfire GORE-TEX® is a highly comfortable women's low-cut technical approach shoe with a precise fit, engineered for superior performance in alpine climbing and reliable waterproof protection in mountain environments.
This technical approach shoe stands out for its high versatility on demanding mountain terrain, scrambling, and fast approach routes. Equipped with the Pomoca Speed MTN outsole crafted from Pomoca Butylic rubber compound, it guarantees excellent friction, traction, and exceptional grip on rock surfaces under both dry and wet conditions. The outsole design features a dedicated climbing zone at the toe box to increase performance on narrow edges, paired with a pronounced lug profile that ensures optimal traction over mud or softer ground.
The upper construction is made from a robust and breathable mesh, reinforced by the Exa Shell 3D injected cage that significantly improves torsional stability over uneven surfaces. This external frame works in perfect harmony with Salewa's signature 3F system, which wraps the foot to ensure anatomical flexibility, a blister-free fit, and secure hold around the heel and ankle zones. On the inside, the integrated GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane acts as an impenetrable barrier against external water and snow patches, while allowing sweat to evaporate quickly to the outside.
The Climbing Lacing system extends directly to the toe box to provide an encompassing fit and micro-adjustable precision on technical rock steps. To maximize long-day comfort, it incorporates a breathable OrthoLite footbed that increases cushioning, efficiently manages internal moisture, and keeps the foot fresh, dry, and comfortable throughout your entire mountain journey.
