Active breathability with no membrane
By foregoing a waterproof membrane, this version of the XA Meta prioritises maximum breathability and lightness, with a Matryx® fabric upper integrating individually coated high-tenacity Kevlar® yarn to resist abrasion from rocky and uneven terrain without compromising foot ventilation. The simple collar and minimalist tongue reduce weight without sacrificing functionality. Produced in France through the partnership between Salomon and ASF 4.0, reducing environmental impact and contributing to the transfer of jobs and expertise to Europe.
3D advancedCHASSIS™ stability and enveloping SensiFit™ fit
The 3D advancedCHASSIS™, positioned between the outsole and midsole, is a low-profile chassis that optimises motion control and energy management, providing protection for a precise, stable and reactive stride on uncertain terrain. The SensiFit™ system wraps the foot while adapting to its natural movements, delivering exceptional lateral stability without restricting mobility or freedom of movement, even on uneven surfaces.
All-terrain Contagrip® grip and Quicklace™ fit
The All-Terrain Contagrip® outsole delivers durability and confidence on wet, dry, hard or slippery surfaces, with a robust toe cap that reinforces protection against rocks and roots. The EnergyCell™ high-performance EVA foam midsole cushions impact, while the Quicklace™ system allows fast and minimalist single-pull adjustment, with an integrated pocket to stow the excess lace.
