The La Sportiva Akyra II is the shoe built for those who refuse to choose between protection and speed: a rugged yet agile model, packing the support of a hiking shoe into a trail running profile. The 3D Grid™ KPU structure and the Impact Brake System™ outsole guarantee stability on technical terrain, while the Trail Rocker™ system adds dynamism to every stride on long distances.

Three-layer upper with 3D Grid™ KPU structure
The three-layer construction combines durability, protection and breathability in a single design, while the 3D Grid™ KPU structure reinforces key support zones and protects the foot against impacts and abrasion on scree and rocky terrain. The non-slip interior mesh keeps the foot secure and well-ventilated, preventing internal slippage even on long runs or multi-hour outings.

Midsole with BIO components and rigid stabiliser
The injection-moulded EVA midsole incorporates BIO-based components, reducing environmental impact without sacrificing cushioning. The rigid, well-cushioned heel block prevents unwanted torsion and protects against repeated impacts, while the enveloping fit with reduced internal volume delivers greater stability on technical terrain.

FriXion® XT Red outsole with Trail Rocker™ and Impact Brake System™
The dual-compound FriXion® XT Red outsole combines multidirectional lugs that ensure powerful traction on both ascents and descents. The Trail Rocker™ system promotes the natural rolling motion of the foot from outer heel to toe, while the Impact Brake System™ absorbs negative ground impact and improves braking with every footstrike, particularly useful on technical descents and loose surfaces.
