The 3D Grid™ KPU structure and the Impact Brake System™ outsole guarantee stability and support, while the Trail Rocker™ adds dynamism to every step in any weather condition.
Three-layer upper with GORE-TEX Extended Comfort
The three-layer construction combines durability, protection and breathability, while the 3D Grid™ KPU structure reinforces key support zones against impacts and abrasion on rocky terrain. The GORE-TEX Extended Comfort ePE lining keeps the foot dry and breathing even in heavy rain or stream crossings, adding extra protection without giving up the agility that defines the Akyra family.
Midsole with BIO components and rigid stabiliser
The injection-moulded EVA midsole incorporates BIO-based components, reducing environmental impact without sacrificing cushioning. The rigid, well-cushioned heel block prevents unwanted torsion and protects against repeated impacts, particularly valuable on technical descents over wet terrain.
FriXion® XT Red outsole with Trail Rocker™ and Impact Brake System™
The dual-compound FriXion® XT Red outsole combines multidirectional lugs that ensure powerful traction on both ascents and descents, even on wet rock. The Trail Rocker™ system promotes the natural rolling motion of the foot from outer heel to toe, while the Impact Brake System™ absorbs negative ground impact and improves braking with every footstrike.

- GORE-TEX Extended Comfort ePE: Waterproof and breathable membrane designed for moderate to warm conditions or higher-intensity activity. Keeps water out while perspiration easily escapes from the inside.
- 3D Grid™ KPU: Thermoplastic polyurethane grid structure built into the upper that reinforces key support zones, protecting the foot against impacts and abrasion without compromising flexibility.
- EVA with BIO components: Injection-moulded midsole foam incorporating bio-based materials, reducing the environmental impact of production without giving up cushioning properties.
- FriXion® XT Red: Dual rubber compound developed by La Sportiva combining grip and wear resistance, with multidirectional lugs designed for wet or dry technical terrain.
- Trail Rocker™: Exclusive La Sportiva solution that promotes the natural outer-heel-to-toe rolling motion during a run, improving fluidity with every stride on long distances.
- Impact Brake™ System: System applied to the outsole that absorbs negative ground impact, improves traction on ascents and increases braking on descents, developed together with Vibram®.
