X ULTRA SNOWPILOT WATERPROOF from Salomon joins the X Ultra family with winter-ready warmth and snow-proof traction and control. Featuring the adv.DRY waterproof membrane, a robust PU-coated leather upper, adv.WARM™ insulation, and a material mix combining cosy comfort with durable protection, this mid-cut boot keeps you stable, sturdy, and fully winterproof.

Waterproofing and winter protection
The adv.DRY 3-layer membrane — Salomon's own PFC-free waterproof laminate made with 100% recycled fabric — blocks water, snow, and wind while keeping feet dry and protected throughout the day.

Lasting warmth down to -20°C
The adv.WARM™ insulation retains body heat through small air pockets between the fibres, made from 70% recycled polyester, with a comfort temperature of -20°C in motion and -7°C at rest.

Stability and traction on snow
The advancedCHASSIS™ moulded insert provides powerful lateral support and secure protection in wet and snowy conditions, while the All Terrain contaGRIP® outsole delivers reliable grip on snow, ice, and mixed winter surfaces.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

• adv.DRY: Salomon's own 3-layer waterproof laminate: a PFC-free membrane sandwiched between 100% recycled outer fabric and a nylon backing. Unlike a floating membrane, the adv.DRY laminate is bonded directly to the outer fabric, eliminating relative movement between layers and reducing filtration points at flex zones.
• adv.WARM™: Synthetic polyester insulation (70% recycled) with a hollow microsphere structure that creates small air pockets between the fibres. This reduced thermal conductivity principle retains body heat even when the material is compressed under foot pressure, unlike down, which loses insulating properties when wet.
• advancedCHASSIS™: Moulded insert integrated into the outsole, acting as a lateral support platform. In winter conditions, it limits involuntary pronation and supination on irregular surfaces such as compacted snow or partial ice, keeping the stride axis aligned throughout.
• All Terrain contaGRIP®: Medium-hardness rubber compound built for the widest spectrum of surfaces. In winter conditions, its formulation retains adhesive properties at low temperatures, where conventional rubber compounds harden and lose friction.
• Winter sockliner: Sockliner with a 4 mm EVA layer acting as a thermal barrier between cold ground and the sole of the foot, reducing heat loss through conduction via the outsole.
