XA PRO 3D V9 STORM

XA PRO 3D V9 STORM from Salomon evokes the intensity of a snowstorm in this special edition of the iconic XA Pro 3D V9. An icon among icons, as reliable as it is familiar: super stable, super tough, and now with even more grip and protection over long distances, a tailored lug pattern, and the All-Terrain contaGRIP® outsole. Tough enough to take on the most demanding adventures.

Stability and control on mixed terrain
The 3D advancedCHASSIS™, positioned between the outsole and midsole, optimises movement control and energy management, delivering a precise, stable, reactive stride on uneven, rocky, or unstable terrain.

Cushioning and energy return
The EnergyCell™+ midsole delivers exceptional energy return with great cushioning and durability, absorbing impact with every stride to maintain performance on the longest days.

Grip on any surface
The All-Terrain contaGRIP® outsole with 3.5 mm lugs delivers durability and confidence on wet, dry, hard, or slippery surfaces, while the protective toe cap shields the foot from impacts on the trail.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

• 3D advancedCHASSIS™: Low-profile platform encapsulated between the outsole and midsole, acting as a selective torsion frame: rigid on the longitudinal axis to limit excessive flex on technical descents, and flexible on the transverse axis to allow natural foot adaptation to ground irregularities. Its three-dimensional geometry redistributes impact loads laterally, reducing fatigue at the ankle and knee joints.
• EnergyCell™+: High-density EVA compound with optimised formulation to maximise energy return at each compression/decompression cycle. The "+" version increases resilience over standard EnergyCell, with a greater capacity to recover shape after repeated impacts across long days.
• All-Terrain contaGRIP®: Medium-hardness rubber compound designed for the widest spectrum of surfaces, with 3.5 mm lugs in an omnidirectional layout that balances traction on soft terrain with durability on abrasive surfaces. The formulation prioritises wear resistance on long-distance mixed terrain routes.
• quickLACE™: High-tenacity cable with TPU coating that distributes tension evenly across all anchor points simultaneously, with a ratchet-lock system that holds adjustment stable under dynamic load.
